arc’s story

As a child, Amanda grew up with a younger sister who stuttered. Having witnessed the positive impact that speech therapy had on her sister and family, the experience influenced her passion to help others and led to her interest in creating a career, and business from it.

Amanda Calderon is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach, where she received her B.A. degree in Communicative Disorders and her M.A. degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a California state licensed speech-language pathologist as well as a member of ASHA and the National Stuttering Association.

Now, with 20+ years of experience, she has worked in a variety of therapy settings including the public school system, in-home, private practice, and teletherapy.
